I just marked Mickey's test. While still not passing, he got a 61. Even if I deduct a few points for the couple of questions he might have copied, he still improved by 100's of percents. And, he actually cared enough to do the entire exam.
I'm starting to believe I might be able to succeed with this kid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
You may not even have to cross your fingers. It sounds like Mickey has decided that success is better than failure, and that he realizes that he is the one responsible for his own success (or failure).
