Unfortunately, (or fortunately) cleaning revealed a huge hole so now we get to spend $1800 on a new roof. The dirt hit the hole.

You hate discoveries like that, but they're important. Our summer has included a broken sewer pipe (on our property, which reveled a bigger one on the city's side), new refrigerator, new washer . . .
sigh.
