Mt Pilatus

Lucerne today with a side trip to Mt Pilatus.

We took the train up. This is an engineering marvel. It runs at a 48 degree angle to the ground. We took the gondolas down. Since these things (and heights) scare the crap out of me, it was not an easy thing to do, but the views were breathtaking and my camera distracted me. Unfortunately, it was extremely foggy and it began to rain very heavily and the views ended up not being very good.

We are soaked and exhausted but I just wanted to post a few pictures before bedtime.

Hopefully tomorrow's weather will be better.

I have stayed in the hotel at the top of Mt. Pilatus -- cool to see the mountain without as much snow (I was there in the winter). I will have to post some of the pictures I took there on my blog for you!
