I just read your about me section.....and wow the start of it sounds like me (and my career this far). How did it go so wrong? Now I'm getting nervous already, thanks alot-jk! I've only been teaching 2 years, how can I not end up that way?

Unfortunately, schools have become business oriented. We don't work with products that turn an immediate profit, so no one cares. Don't get me wrong, I love what I am doing. I'm financially able to retire tomorrow, but I choose not too.

Just go in the classroom, close the door and for those 45 minutes, forget all the outside stuff exists.

I started the blog to relieve stress but now, more than ever, I hope to educate people outside the teaching profession about some of the problems we face.

Good luck in your career. My long time friends from 30 years ago retired, not because they were burnt out, but because it was time. They loved teaching until the day they left, and still love it.
