The little chihuahua danced her feet off, she was so happy. She had screwed up big time, was about to get in serious trouble but, at the last minute found a poodle to blame.
The poodle was innocent. In fact, the poodle not only always did the right thing, but went above and beyond his job requirements. The poodle was at first confused, but his keen brain and reputation saved him. The uproar the chihuahua started made the authorities overlook her guilt and the incident was swept under the rug.

It must be amazing to have a gig where you can do any damn thing and never get blamed for it. Usually your father has to own the company for that sort of treatment, but even then there are usually limits.
One day this dog will bite the hands that feed her. And then the bosses will find egg all over their faces.
having a job and not being blamed for it? possibly being a nyc administrator rings a bell to me....
