Knowing Where You Are Not Wanted

Being told a party starts at 2:30, showing up and seeing that it is ending makes one feel nice and wanted.

Why bother issuing the invitation in the first place?  The little gift couldn't have meant that much.

I am so sorry this happened. People can be unnecessarily mean. It makes me wonder when we move past high school mentalities.

I wasn't told about a potluck luncheon in my department today...it was an oversight and I was ordered to take food. I would have liked to contribute, since I'm not a "schnorrer". Others didn't know either. Perhaps someone should have sent an e mail out, since not everyone was around last Friday, the day that this event was put together. The department chair had a family matter to attend to, and could not be there.

Wow, that sure beats some of the stories that went on in my school, and there are stories there.

All I can say is glad you are outta there. You make your own hours and do your own thing and watch others finally figure out they lost the one person who was a voice of reason--you.

Regarding your AP: He might be glad to have you out. By the time he retires, he won't be getting near the pension benefits you or the others in that group will receive.
