Trapped in a body that no longer does what you want it to do.
Arms and back hurt all the time.
Legs don't do what your brain tells them to do.
Lips that cannot utter your thoughts and articulate your needs.  Lips that utter words I never heard you use before.  Language coming out you never would use, especially in front of your daughters.  You are angry and belligerent, and I am incapable of helping.
Watching your frustration is frustrating me as well.

I love you.  Seeing you suffer is ripping me apart.

watching my loved ones suffer in similar ways was very tough for me too...one feels helpless and not sure what to do ..

I'm so sorry you and your family are in such anguish. I wish there was something I could do to ease your sadness.

My mom is in year 9 of early onset Alzheimer's. The fact that she is beating the odds with regard to length of life is little solace given the quality of that life.

The guilt of not being there as much as I want and the fear of the possibilities with regard to what my own future may hold are tough as well

You're not alone. God Bless and thank you for this post. (I'm not alone either:)
