Dump Your Children Here

This is the garbage strewn puddle outside my trailer. But, most people reading this blog have seen this picture many times before.
This is something new. Someone seems to have forgotten to pick up the garbage or even put it in the dumpster. Last week when it was windy, a teacher got hit with a flying box.
More garbage pictures. We walk through this every day to get to the building.
Another view.

Got to love working for the NYC DOE!

Lovely hallway to your classroom. Don't they make teachers do bulletin boards at your school? Those dumpsters just aren't the look the administration is going for. Is the custodial staff hiding inside the dumpsters? If they were teachers they would have been "called in to the principal's office" already.

This is truly unbelievable!

Have you tried to get parents involved in the complaining?

I guess I now know the meaning of "trailer trash". The pictures are disgusting and revolting and you should get the parents involved.

I'm not the only teacher that walks by this crap, yet I am the only one who ever says anything. I'm tired of being known as a trouble maker. Someone else needs to get the parents involved.
I think I finally got the APO to get someone to clean up the puddle. At least, she promised she would. I'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

This is trivial by comparision- but I am so sick and tired of being the only one who complains also. The bells in my school have been ringing at the wrong times for about a week, shaving 6-7 minutes off our lunch period, and ringing late at the day's end. They're all afraid to say something (in spite of the fact that you will get your time card pulled if you are 30 seconds late in the morning)- they all waited for me to be the bitch.

Waiting to see if they fix the bells- I told the custodian, he promised to check it out.

I can't stand looking at the garbage and, as anon. 6:43 implies, at the sheer hypocrisy of it.

Shame on the pseudo administrators at every level of this abusive system.

They should put the administrators office in the trailer so she can see the garbage.

Gosh you think the New York Post would write a story on this "insult" to children?

The Post would rather just suck up the the adinistrators and write what the Principal's want to see printed.

That newspaper is not journalism, it is a high school report.
