to send them to Albany so a group of people can decide on a passing grade. We give a test, mark it and then the grade that will makes the exam a success will be determined. This should be featured in Ripley's Believe It Or Not.
(Notice I used photo shop in the bottom picture. I was able to wipe out the school's address. I feel so accomplished at the moment.)

Wow, we aren't allowed to grade the TAKS. Everything gets sent to the state. Can't make copies of anything either.
Every couple of years they release tests and mistakes in the answer sheet are often found - but those kids are a couple years on by then.
The whole ordeal of the white box went much more smoothly for us this year than with the Integrated Algebra regents last June, thanks to UPS actually showing up when they said they would.
Just think, we all get to do this again next year for the Algebra 2/Trig Regents. What fun!
Wow, really, they do not have a minimal passing grade until after they grade the test? Are they grading on a curve or what?
"Hmm.. I think this year 47% should pass the test..." Unbelievable! Can't they just agree on the standards the class should address and decide what percent of those standards are required for proficiency?
