No Need To Travel Abroad

As we walked around the city, my friend talked about the wonderful old buildings she had seen in London. I said, look up. You don't have to travel to Europe. That same wonderful architecture is here in your own back yard. All of these pictures were taken from 79th St to 34th St, between Lexington Ave and 7th Ave. (I cover a lot of ground in one trip to the city.)

The next three are all Macy's. I practically grew up in this store and never noticed the facade until today.

Sixth Ave somewhere between 40th St and 36th St. I never noticed this synagogue until today. I have to remember to change the side of the street I walk on more often.
