Something big and sinister is indeed going on and it's the NY State budget, a grab-bag of goodies for Eva Moskowitz and her corporate BFFs. It's unconscionable that corporate charter school kids get preferential treatment over those that I serve.
It is the politicians who are caving in. Wonder what they are getting or what dirt is being held over their heads?
I'm thinking suitcases full of cash. But actually we know Eva and her BFFs gave Cuomo at least $800K.
I agree with NYC Educator... loads of cash definitely helped put this pro charter legislation in motion.
I don't think we will ever know exactly what happened but it is sinister for sure.
There's a real life "Remy" brokering deals for charters with the likes of Senator Tony Avella. His compromising on charters in the state budget looks like someone got to him.

I agree with ednotes because less than 30% of the members vote in union elections.
