Successful Day

I know most teachers want nothing to do with school over the summer but, anyone who knows me knows that I don't do what most people do.

Today, I did the unthinkable and paid Packemin a visit to get some Smart Board tutoring from an expert colleague. I am not the only insane one. This friend stayed with me after putting in a full day of summer school work. Well, the day was a huge success. Not only did I learn quite a bit, but my uncontrollable urges to push buttons helped her learn things about the Smart Board she did not know before.

After our grueling workout, we adjourned to my house to drink margaritas and look at Israel pictures. The day was a successful learning day and a vacation day, all in one.
There is a bunch of pictures she saw and a few she didn't here on facebook. I just got the camel pics from a trip buddy. I'm the one riding with the camera in my face. My husband kept yelling at me to hold on, but you can see I did not listen.

You're going to be a Smartboard pro before you know it!

You are not the only one. Many of my colleagues, myself included, have been working our butts off. I was there today doing some shmoozing, some moving of books and some planning with a district level person who will be training me tomorrow on some technical scheduling crap. I'm not admin, just a teacher who is dedicated. Our SLC became independent this year which means we rock--which means--we have a shitload of work to do :)
