No Need For New School Construction

Bloomberg is right. There is no need to spend money on new school construction. There are plenty of good sites available right now. So what if the windows are missing, the roof leak and the steps are missing. Children need to learn to adjust if they are to survive in this world.

Fort Totten

Creedmore--there are so many buildings like this and in even worse condition in one of the most overcrowded areas in the city.

Governor's Island--the kids wouldn't even need a gym. They could swim back and forth from lower Manhattan. A phys ed teacher would not even be needed.

NYC Ed, Norm, Chaz, Mr. Talk and others--Instead of whining about schools, look around. I'm sure you can find other buildings in the same shape as the ones above that the city can use.
