Concern For The Child

The girl was not doing well in her self contained special education class.  The supervisor decided to change the child's IEP and put her in an ICT class.  "After all", the supervisor was overheard saying, "if we have to have her here we might as well get more money for her.  She can't pass any class so what difference does it make."

This supervisor must have a hard drive for a heart...to use a child's presence in special education as personal collateral. This is just criminal, never mind educationally unsound. I'm sure this is not the only child who is a victim of this ruthless approach to a faux education.

Can an IEP be changed without the parent's consent??

Admins and counselors arw very good at getting parents to go along with them by convincing the parent they have the child's best interest in mind.

Best interest of the child?!?!?!!? Yes...what a joke...I wish these s#i@s can be fired and not the good teachers who really care and want to see children succeed...

**I did not use the t- word this time because this post just pissed me off more than the others....
