News Flash


All those IEP's that say a child needs a reader are wrong. All the teacher has to do is write clearer.


(According to one administrator as he chastised the teacher for asking him how to administer an exam to a child whose IEP says questions should be read aloud.)

You should also check if the child has other modifications like a different room.

Or we could start by making sure our kids can read before they're promoted just to make AYP? Hmm.

There are people with real disabilities who require help with reading. This has nothing to do with their intelligence or their ability to succeed. If it ahs been determine a child needs a reader, the reader must be supplied. You wouldn't deny a cancer patient cancer, so why deny a reader when necessary?
