Rain, Rain Go Away.... WE WANT TO LEARN

It rained again today. The area around the trailers flooded again. No afternoon trailer classes again.

So much for education in a NYC high school.

Are you sure you're not teaching in Thailand during monsoon season?

Has anyone (teachers or parents) tried going to the press with this situation? I stopped by the PS282 protest at Tweed this week and there were three camera crews there. The Mayor is on record saying "we will spare no expense" for the kids. The press would probably like a clear opportunity to prove him wrong. Halting class when because it rains is not supposed to happen in our country.

It happens all the time at Packemin High School. It is the accepted norm. I wonder where parents weigh in on this one; they probably aren't even aware that this must be the 4th or 5th time since September that trailers are closed due to weather conditions.
The neglect and deterioration show the truth about "Children First", not the way the DOE spins it.
