You Can't Make This Stuff Up

1.  Every class should have 100% attendance daily.  It is the teacher's responsibility to call parents and make this happen.
2.  Every child should have a hand up for every question.  The right hand should be raised if they know the answer and the left one if they don't.
3.  If a paper drops, everyone should be able to hear the paper hit the floor.

Above is a partial list of demands being put on the members of my old department.  Don't laugh.  People's jobs might very well depend on being able to fulfill those impossible requirements.  It was so much easier when I began my career.  Sure I worried about the kids with the guns, but I knew if they went off, everyone would hear them, even if the class was noisy.

Oh, please, please, please, I need the whole list. The Highly Ineffective Principal posts need a new entry. This is too good to pass up.

Ineffective? This guy announces every chance he gets that he is the best administrator in the entire city and how lucky the teachers in this department are to work with him. How could he be not good for teachers and education?

It's way past time for this wing nut to be drug tested, or put on some kind of drug. I'd rather have the kids with the guns...I had them in my class but I kept the kids "engaged" so they didn't busy themselves playing with the guns!

Oh...I just realized something. If a kid has both hands up, then does that mean there may be a kid with a gun in the vicinity? If a piece of paper falls and no one hears it, does it mean that the paper never fell?

How about 1 more added to the list: student interaction..all children need to be interacting with one another and interrupt the teacher (regardless if the teacher is instructing the lesson and needs to get the objective across) so the students have respond to whatever random thoughts that are in their head.

does the janitor get extra credit for sweeping up the paper?

I like the way that Duhhh! thinks...

Maybe that paper can be used for when dogs need to use the bathroom or to be placed in the kitty litter!
