Censorship? No Way!

Miracle of miracles--the computers in the library are working.

But, when I went to check out NYCEducator, I got this screen.

And, this one when I tried The Chancellor's New Clothes.

(click on each for a better view)

Could the DOE be censoring our computers? No way! (And, if you believe that, I have a bridge for sale, really cheap.)

We were always told that the DoE, or any employer, can keep track of an employee's internet use. And, this is censorship because the mayor wants to regain control of the schools without any criticism.

Can you check to see if the NYC public school parent blog is blocked? http://nycpublicschoolparents.blogspot.com/

Actually anything hosted by Blogger is blocked by Websense on most city owned computers. Sometimes you can get through, but mostly blocked.

I can access this blog and a bunch of others from school. It seems blogs are selectively blocked.
