Another College Supervisor Speaks
I got this in answer to e-mail I sent supervisor #2.
Mr AP's email was very interesting. I assume that he realizes that students need to complete three years of regents level math through Integrated Intermediate Algebra and Trigonometry in addition to getting an 80 on one of the three regent exams.
I am from ILLAnnoy and, I have to say, I have been lucky enough to have worked for some really good (some excellent!) principals who CARED about students and parents and...teachers! Also, I am encouraged by reading about what the principals in Long Island (and now, NYC) have been taking a stand against. I have been e-mailing literally hundreds of people I know who are educators & administrators in ILLAnnoy to do the same. One of my former principals wrote back,"Thanks for the info.! Am fighting the good fight!" And I am confident he is & he will, for he is a true educator. Anonymous, keep on keeping on!

It's administrators like this who have no clue. But the last sentence says it all. His only concern is himself--not the students!!
Lets face it, no administrator is looking for the good of the student. It is all about how they look and their AYP.It is a sad situation.
