My Accomplishments

1.  This week my math phobic college student told me while she still does not like math, she has learned to love the challenge it presents her.

2.  One of my algebra kids passed the regents.  This was is third time (maybe fourth, I'm not sure.)  He credited me with teaching him what he needed to know.  He even said he passed because of the way I taught him how to do the long questions.  HE PASSED WITHOUT GUESSING ON THE MULTIPLE CHOICES!  I GOT THROUGH TO ONE OF THEM!

Congrats!!

What do you tell them to get through the long problems? I teach them how to read word problems (what we need to know and what we don't care about) - is that what you're talking about? If not - share, please!!
