Fool's Gold
Pyrite, fools gold--the people that believed in it would believe that people like Bloomberg, Klein, Rhee, Duncan and even Obama really care about education. They would believe charter schools are really the answer,
And if they relied on NYC papers for their info, they'd believe it too--though the Times had a piece today about pushback to President Hopey-Changey. Hopefully we'll follow the NEA's lead, frighten him in November, and send him back to Chicago in 2012.
Does anybody live where the charter schools work??? Because in my neck o' the woods, they have been abject failures, mostly done in my budgetary shenanigans and-- gasp-- discipline problems. Who would have thought it?

be careful what you wish for... republicans take over, vouchers, charters, etc. galores.
Not wishing, just making an observation.
