The Mayor is spending $80 million on a massive computer to track kids progress. He is saying our kids are worth it.
My kids don't even have a classroom with a door that closes. Last week it was possible to yank the door shut, now it doesn't fit squarely in the frame anymore so we are permanently open. At least if the room gets too hot, we can enjoy the natural air conditioning. It's great having that fresh air on a morning with temperatures near zero degrees.

Got to love the "higher ups". While my classroom door does close, I have an adjoining room with in-house suspension. Yesterday's lock-down made me think about how unsafe having an unlockable door to a room with problem children is. Hope you get yours fixed soon.
What??? Your door doesn' close? So even when you leave at the end of the day you can't shut it and the room is open 24/7? I don't need to tell you that this state of affairs is unacceptable. Is no one listening to you? I am at a loss for words...
How do you expect Mayor Mike to worry about doors? He's already committed to that 80 million bucks. How else will we find out what a terrible job we do?
Actually, they seem to have fixed one of my trailer doors. Or maybe it just shook into place.
There is a gate around the trailer that is supposedly locked at night. Who knows if that is really true?
A custodian told me today that the door just needs new hinges. And the only reason he even came out was because I called Principal Suit to complain.
