Intelligent Decision?

I love shoes. I probably have over 50 pairs. My two rules for buying so many pairs is that they have to be on sale and they have to be comfortable.

Melissa has a total opposite viewpoint when it comes to shoes. To her, they have to be expensive and comfort is not as important as looks. A bunch of us went to dinner the other night and Melissa was wearing her expensive, Italian leather flats. She complained non-stop about how much they were hurting her feet. She had even brought them to the shoe maker to get them stretched, but they still hurt. She couldn't understand why. They were her size, after all. And, they had been stretched. We tried to explain to this very bright woman that just because a shoe was a certain size, it might not be comfortable. Not every shoe is made for every foot. We asked her why she bought them and why she hadn't brought them back when she realized they hurt. She just shrugged and insisted they were the right size. Oh well, I guess there is a big difference between being book smart and being intelligent.

If you're a teacher, you need to have comfortable shoes. That's real. But yes, there is that difference. Peace.

My feet started hurting last year from being on my feet too much, and I spent $100 on a pair of SAS shoes. That's more than I usually spend on shoes in a year, but my feet don't hurt anymore!

I have to spend a fortune on a good pair of shoes because I have small, and wide feet. I usually wear Mephistos during the summer which cost a fortune. But I am always looking for comfortable shoes.
I try to shop with Zappos.com because they have great customer service. They even sent a different size shoe before I returned the other size, and they don't charge your card until you make a decision.

My new extravagance is going to be finding the perfect handbag. It has to be both stylish and have compartments. Right now I am looking at some Fossil bags.

I like ebag.com. They are very reliable and have free shipping. Also, shoebuy.com also has great service and free shipping both ways. Their prices beat zappos.

I'm with you on the comfort criteria. I'll pay more for comfortable shoes, but I won't go broke for them.
