How Can This Be Good For Anyone?

The social studies AP, barely into his 30's, two years past his tenure date, stood in front of his department and told the teachers that many thought they were good but would soon learn the opposite was true.  He said there would be many unhappy people as observations and ratings were delivered but he wasn't there to make friends.

Teachers are upset.  Their work will suffer.  As a result, the kids will suffer.  But, he is the king.  This little inexperienced twerp will be hurting many until someone wakes up and realizes he is not the one who should be in charge.

Remember there is usually 3 sides to a story. His version, someone else's version, and the truth. In your case a 4th version, the translated blog post.

The AP is not that type of person, so I'd be surprised if that's actually what he said.

Since you have no idea what school I am talking about, I do know things about many APs, you have no idea if this is true or not. In fact, it was told to me by a middle school teacher in Staten Island.

Another UFT member whose spouse is an AP was told that me that they have quotas that they have to meet in U-rating teachers.

It's just like the police.

and sometimes these administrators (inexperienced and those who have been with system long but incompetent and insane) bad deeds finally catch up to them..however, it takes a LOOOOOOONG time and A LOT of crap, plus some low report card grades and 311 calls to get someone out. :)

The comment is true. I work at that SI school and it happen along with other APs' comments like, "this system was made to get rid of all those unwanted teachers". AND THAT IS A DIRECT QUOTE, I WAS THERE!
