My dad was obsessed with family and with having his affairs in order.
I just went through some of the papers I brought home. Only my dad would have an enveloped labeled this way. He wanted to make sure things would be easy for my sister and I when the time came.

What an awesome man...
Wonderful man, wonderful father.
The night before he died my father in law wrote a list of things to do after he passed. One of the things on the list was to verify that he was indeed dead. (It had his will, pension, just all kinds of things he had been responsible for during their marriage and he wanted to make it easier on my mother in law.) The comment on verifying he was indeed dead was so like him and his sense of humor that it led us all to laugh. But we have all wondered if he knew the end was that close.
Your father, mine, my father sound like peas in a pod.
So sorry for your loss. What wonderful tributes to your dad.
i just saw now that your father passed away. so sorry for your loss. from reading your blog, he was a wonderful man. the envelope is exactly the kind of thing my father did, too.
