I understand that admin probably do not get that much time to themselves during school hours. We all need a little alone time. However, this sign is just a little curt. There are ways to handle situations. I am not sure this was the most appropriate.
I completely understand. I had no patients when my former co-workers used to complain about being kicked out of their classroom. Pre-K teachers never get alone time. The kids are always in the room. I always had to scurry around the building during preps and lunch breaks to find a quiet place to do my work.
My admin still called us during lunch with was a violation and she knew it. I bet he does it also. But his down-time is sacrosanct?? He can go to a damn coffee shop.
"Thank you very much for your understanding". Well, for your information, sign-owner, I need down time too. So if I wear tape over my mouth or a mask on my face, that's my version of down time. Don't bother me. Don't even come near me.

Please make my day and tell me that sign is on AP's office door!

Everyone needs time to themselves, even teachers but we have no doors to close and no time alone so I have no patience for this.

If this was at my old school it would be on the nurse's door.
