Valor

The last day of classes is June 14, which means we have 14 class days left. The kids who have done nothing all year know there is nothing they can do now to earn a passing grade. They do nothing but disturb others when they come to class. We have nothing to hold over them. Everyone making it through these last few days deserves a medal of honor.

Don't you just wish you could tell those kids to just stay home for the next 14 days? ;-)

A few of those who do nothing have asked me for extra credit and make-up assignments.

Nothing to hold over there heads? Like people can't get suspended anymore either?

Anyway, I'm surprised kids don't just stay home if there's no hope of passing.

I have great kids in my geometry math class. They work their tails off, with the exception of 2.
In a couple of days, they'll probably ask for extra credit work to make up for the term. I usually tell these lazy students who waited until the last minute to do work the following: If the other 26 students did all the work, came to class on time, studied for their quizzes and tests, were rarely absent, did 95% of their homework, constantly participated in class, why can't you do the same?

Those 2 students don't bother to ask again for extra credit.
