If you happen to be on 54th St and Seventh Ave and need a pit stop, make sure to go to the Sheraton. The bathrooms are well stocked and extremely clean. There are even vases of live flowers on the sinks.
The lobby has lots of comfortable chairs if you need to sit for a while. There is even a jewelry shop where I found these great earrings for $9. Supposedly, they were originally $119.
Make sure you go to the Sheraton on the East side of the street. If you go to the one on 52nd and Seventh you won't be able to use the bathrooms. Those require a swipe key from the hotel.
