Rumor Has It

I heard a rumor that this guy is an assistant principal in one of the biggest schools in the city.

The weather was so good he took a walk on the High Line this afternoon.

Park Ave Public Art

Trying to lift my funk, I took myself to Cold Water Creek to use the $25 coupon I got in mail yesterday.  I managed to score a $70 sweater for $8.  And, with the rain gone, I took a walk down Park Ave to the MOMA.  The public art along the way is wonderful.  Sorry, only so so pictures.  I didn't bring my good camera because of the rain.

Why I Love Traveling Solo

Got off the train at 34th and stopped at farmer's market and junk store.

Walked around Macy's and took random stupid pictures.

Checked out street vendors.

Stopped at Jack's, my favorite junk store.

Went to FIT to see latest fashion exhibit.

And then on to High Line to see Carol Bove's Art Walk.

NYC Post

I haven't written too much about city sites lately but that doesn't mean I haven't been taking them in.  Yesterday I got to visit Discovering Columbus, one of Public Art projects.  Tatzu Nish, a Japanese artist transformed the statue of Columbus by erecting a six story structure around it and putting Columbus in the middle of his living room.  It is truly a wonderful site to see.  In addition, the view from here of Central Park and surrounding areas is terrific.  More pictures here, on facebook.
