My babies, luckily, love to help clean, so we use the last 5-10 minutes to clean up. They actually fight over who gets to sweeep the floor, and use the carpet sweeper. Each table captain wipes down their table, then stacks the chairs.

The waste of skin I had the misfortune to partner with last year was one of the biggest SLOBS I've even encountered. The first time I stepped into her room, I wanted to run back out screaming! Every table was covered in crayon and pencil scribbles, there was dried up glue everywhere, the floor was covered in paper scraps, it was ridiculous!

I've already gone on far too long, otherwise I would start a rant about the nastiness in the teachers' lounge!ChiTown Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09240876368610100419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-911478521897536812010-05-16T23:27:27.504-04:002010-05-16T23:27:27.504-04:00Before dismissal I made sure nothing was left on t...Before dismissal I made sure nothing was left on the floor--papers, pencils, trash, etc. Yet when I stayed late and would see what was being swept in other classrooms, I couldn't believe my eyes--crayons, textbooks, pencils and so much dirt and this was on a daily basis.

What surprised me was that word got back to the head custodian about my room. Maybe that's why my repairs got done in a timely manner.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
