We all know that. That doesn't excuse Bloomberg. None of your arguments say anything about what he has done for the average NYer.

I am glad that Bloomberg has you as one of his little groupies. Go kiss his rear end or whatever else you want to do to him, but no one here will ever go along with you. Actions speak louder than words and so far his actions have not been beneficial to the middle and lower economic groups of the city.Pissedoffteacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07924089808582137198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-51279615120780389382009-07-30T11:07:39.132-04:002009-07-30T11:07:39.132-04:00TONY AVELLA FOR MAYOR. He's in our corner, and wants to RESTORE DEMOCRACY TO NYC WHICH IS CURRENTLY RUN BY A FASCIST/CORPORATE CABAL, AND WHOSE "CITY COUNCIL" SOLD ITS SOUL TO THIS CURRENT MEGALOMANIACAL DICTATORIAL MAYOR.Ghost of Boss Tweednoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-80909683085314534502009-07-30T06:16:53.259-04:002009-07-30T06:16:53.259-04:00He's allowed you to walk on Highline. He had found ways to make sure the tourists keep coming to NYC so that so many low to middle income NYers still have jobs.

He has rejunvenated areas of the Bronx like Hunts Point, the South Bronx, Long Island City waterfront, like or not Willets Point ( wait to see what that will look like in 10 years.)

Many parts of Brooklyn, Harlem have completely transformed in the last 8 years. You don't see homeless everywhere.

Crime is way down.

I am not sure I am willing to put my vote in Avella's hands. He does however sound like he would a lot more effective than Thompson.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-77113930387748328532009-07-30T00:02:22.062-04:002009-07-30T00:02:22.062-04:00But Bloomberg keeps going on tv saying that he is ...But Bloomberg keeps going on tv saying that he is going to fix unemeployment. I do however, see us coming out of this a lot faster than many other areas. ( I hope anyway.) And if you look around NYC I think you can see relief around the corner.

The hiring freeze was put in place for the exact reason of trying to make sure ATRs & excessed teachers found jobs first. So you should applaud that.

Rubber room... well... I couldn't agree with you more. However, Randi has done a great job of ensuring people get their checks.
I won't go there...

I think a WHOLE lot more has to be done for the average NYC resident. I don't think we are putting enough pressure on all elected officials to make sure that more affordable housing is built.

If not Bloomberg... then who?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
