It sounds like the room we have for about 100 teachers, and only about 40 ever use it anyway.

You folks have great stats. We got a crappy letter grade, could be on the way out.mathman42noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-63048891285273161202009-11-17T18:06:35.620-05:002009-11-17T18:06:35.620-05:00I don't think that is going to happen. There are four computers, one printer and a long table in the middle. No windows. Dust is everywhere. Still, it is better than anything we have ever had. I even have to carry my own printer paper.

My husband tells me not to complain, but you don't see any administrators forced to work in a room that looks like this. And, when he was at work, he had an office witha comfortable chair, and a computer. He feels like most other NYers, teachers don't deserve anything better.Pissedoffteacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07924089808582137198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-36121000367214573242009-11-17T11:06:10.127-05:002009-11-17T11:06:10.127-05:00Glad you got a room. Pics for the walls, an old vase, magazines and books. One teacher donated her old sofa.
The room should also have a union b-board. My school even helped get new furniture many years ago. The problem was some of the teachers who never cleaned up after themselves and left a dirty lunch table for the next person. Leaving a bottle of windex and paper towels didn't help get the point across, but at least the next person had a way to clean up.
Teachers also took up a collection for a coffee pot and supplies.Schoolgalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02327692336247705060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-2356393821423205592009-11-17T10:57:37.537-05:002009-11-17T10:57:37.537-05:00Sometimes I am just blown away by the things you a...Sometimes I am just blown away by the things you all have to fight for but here in WV, we seem to take for granted. Anywhere I've ever taught here we have work rooms and computers almost coming out our ears. It is so easy to get tunnel vision and hyper-focused on our own issues but reading about classes/schools/teachers like you and yours reminds me of the larger world out there. Thanks.Sonjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06885061190432122154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29536003.post-55835477791223760272009-11-17T06:35:03.891-05:002009-11-17T06:35:03.891-05:00Whoops, I meant to add that goal to your below pos...Whoops, I meant to add that goal to your below post. Work every day to show that you are not a failure and that you are a knowledgeable, hard working professional deserving of the respect of other, more experienced and more successful, professionals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
